Coaches Volunteer

One-on-one:

  • Engage high school coaches in one-on-one meetings throughout the year

Small group:

  • Lead small group coach’s bible studies weekly or bi-weekly throughout the year

Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule to meet at coach’s convenience
  • Desire to listen and support high school coaches
  • Time to commit to weekly meetings with coach
  • Love of coaches
  • Appreciation for coach’s influence on their teams
  • Passion for FCA’s vision and mission through coaches

Athlete Volunteer

One-on-one:

  • Engage high school athletes in one-on-one meetings throughout the year
  • Support your athlete in their spiritual growth, academics, and athletic endeavors

Small group:

  • Engage high school athletes in small group sessions throughout the school year.

Character Coach:

  • Lead 10-15-minute devotionals with a specific sports team
  • Must be approved and encouraged by coach
  • Must follow goals and guidelines of head coach
  • Attend a portion of practice once a week

Requirements:

  • Flexible schedule to meet athlete’s availability
  • Time to invest in the athlete spiritually and otherwise
  • Passion to use the FCA model to reach the heart of athletes
  • Character coach training once a semester provided by FCA staff

Fundraising Volunteer

Lunch meetings:

  • Provide contacts for fundraising meetings
  • Attend fundraising meetings with FCA staff and your contact
  • Help with follow-up after meetings
  • Leverage contacts for FCA fundraising

Fundraising events:

  • Provide contacts for fundraising events
  • Assist in organizing small fundraising events with staff
  • Understand the FCA model and how it pertains to funding
  • Leverage influence to aid in FCA funding

Large Donor meetings:

  • Provide contacts for “Tom Landry donors” ($10,000 + givers)
  • Invest time to inform FCA staff how to approach specific donor
  • Attend meeting with donor and staff

Requirements:

  • Time to invest in learning “Tom Landry” information
  • Time to invest in potential contacts and FCA staff to create a good relationship
  • Follow-up with large donors after meetings
  • Passion for sharing the mission and vision of FCA to potential donors
