Mark was born in Tupelo, MS on September 16, 1979. His dad was, a Methodist Minister, which meant he moved around a lot, but at the age of 13 he moved to Nettleton MS where he spent 11 years. Mark has one brother, who is a football coach at ECS in Cordova, TN and a sister, who works at the Hospital in Tupelo.
At Nettleton, Mark played three sports football, basketball and baseball. His senior year he played quarterback for the varsity team and started all nine games. In basketball he won the leadership award both his junior and senior year. Mark started in baseball for the Tigers all 4 years. His junior year he got All Division Honorable-Mention, All Lee County and All Monroe County. His senior year he got 1st in batting avg., 1st in on-base percentage, All Division 1st Team, All Lee County, All Monroe County, NEMCAAB All-Star Team and the Norman Schoals Award.
Mark went on to play two years of baseball at ICC and two more at Crichton College in Memphis TN. Mark then was a student assistant coach his fifth year for the Crichton baseball team. He graduated from Crichton College with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. Since then I have been a Youth Pastor at Fulton United Methodist Church and LifeWay Community Church in Guntown. He coached football, basketball and baseball at Tupelo Christian Prepatory School.
FCA has been a passion for Mark ever since his junior year in high school. Mark volunteered at several FCA Leadership Camps during his high school and college years. Mark currently serves as the FCA District 4 Area Representive.
